Psychology of choosing mates

In my psychology course we discussed some factors that make women more attractive to men. One of them was having a high hip to waist ratio. So, if a woman has a slim waist (say of 24 inches) and wide hips (of 34 inches), that creates a high ratio (of 34/24= 1.42). If a woman is pregnant, she would have a low hip to waist ratio (ex. waist 40 inches and hips 30 inches is 30/40= .75). It makes a lot of sense too because pregnancy marks women as unable to reproduce because they are already carrying a child and that makes men view them as unattractive because they cannot procreate with them.
Also, studies have shown that women's voices are most attractive during the time in the month that they are most fertile.
