Are Men being Socialized to be Aggressive? Are Women being Socialized to be Passive?

I think this was more common in the past and now men and women are given the option to be themselves. Men who are less aggressive are more accepted than any time before and women are able to be aggressive or less passive. Society overall is more accepting and the roles of men and women are more flexible for the individual to be their true selves.
