Cohabitation before remarriage

Maria mentioned how the church views cohabitation before marriage, but I think someone that shares this view with the church may change it after their first marriage. The church encourages chastity until marriage, so that would discourage cohabitation. However, once someone gets divorced, they have lost their virginity and the way they view their next marriage may be completely different. They may think that the cohabitation rule does not apply to them because they have already lived with someone of the opposite sex.
